Police have arrested the man they believe is responsible for a Lexington teen's murder.

20-year-old Ernest Wheeler III was taken to the Lexington-Fayette County jail after an investigation into the death of 18-year-old Patrick Puckett.

The coroner says Puckett was found shot in the chest in an apartment building on Ryan Circle around 8 Wednesday night, then taken to UK Hospital where he died.

Puckett had been a student at Bryan Station High School before transferring to Henry Clay a few weeks ago.

You can help Puckett's family pay for his funeral by donating to the fund at Forcht Bank in Lexington.
