Lexington Police Looking For Suspect in Drive By Shooting

Police say no one was hurt in the shooting but say a car with a small child inside was hit multiple times.
      Lexington Police say they're looking for a person of interest that may have been involved in a drive by shooting along Price Road late Friday afternoon.

     Police believe the person may be in a white Pontiac Sunfire with Florida license plates and dark wheels.

    Investigators say they received the call about the shooting at approximately 4:30pm.

    Police say the suspect drove by a home on the 600 block of Price Street, opening fire, and hitting a parked car and a neighboring house.

   The owners of the car were unloading the vehicle and were inside the house at the time of the shooting, however a small child was still in the back seat at the time shots were fired.

   No one was hurt in the incident.

   Police believe the shooter may have known the family and that this incident may of stemmed from a domestic dispute.

    The name of the person of interest has not been released by police.

   Investigators say there were no eye-witnesses to the shooting, but say there were at most seven shell casings found at the scene.

   The family and neighbors at the scene declined to speak on camera to ABC 36, but did confirm everyone was alright.
