Police say victims in both cases gave similar descriptions of the suspect.
Lexington Police are trying to figure out if two different reports of robbery and gunfire are connected.

Investigators say it started when a man showed up at a hospital Sunday night and said he was shot during a hold up.

Police say the man told them he was on Seventh Street when an armed man approached him and demanded money. When he refused, he said he was shot in the leg.

About two hours later, another man told police he was robbed while sitting in his car in an alley on West Maxwell Street.

The man told investigators that after he gave the robber his money, the two struggled over the gun and it went off, but no one was hit.

The victim says the armed man then got out of the car and ran off.

Both victims gave police a similar description of the robber.

So far no arrests in the cases.
