Shopping for a car turned out to be a little more than the buyers bargained for in Lexington.

Police say two women were robbed Saturday night at an apartment complex on Larkin Road.

The women told officers they were waiting to meet someone who was selling a car when a man with a knife got into their vehicle and robbed them.

The women were not hurt but say the man took their purses and ran off.

So far no arrests in the case.
