The ban on the firing of personal fireworks in Lexington has led to complaints, and citations issued.
Fireworks were banned in the city earlier this week because of dry conditions in Fayette County.
But people continue to shoot them.
Lexington police say they had 608 complaints Wednesday night about fireworks, and handed out 23 citations.
