Officials said a pursuit of a stolen truck started in downtown Lexington early Wednesday afternoon and led to four vehicles being damaged, including the stolen vehicle and a police cruiser.

They said an undercover officer saw the gray pickup driving erratically along Third and Race Streets, and after checking the license plate, discovered it was stolen.

According to police, a call was made to another officer, who pulled the vehicle over.

However, as the officer was getting out of their cruiser, the driver reportedly threw the truck in reverse and slammed it into the police officer's vehicle.

The truck then allegedly took off, and that's when police said the chase began.

According to officers, the chase went from Main Street onto Richmond Road. As the pickup approached a red light at Chineway Road, police said it darted through, even after crashing into two other vehicles.

After chasing the truck onto Lakeshore Drive, officials said it lost power and came to a stop.

Four people were taken into custody, but only one was arrested.

Quantez Canada is now facing felony charges on multiple counts.

No one was injured in the pursuit.
