Lexington Museum Director Excited About 'Lincoln' Movie

The Director of the Mary Todd Lincoln House hopes the movie 'Lincoln' brings in more people to the historical site.
A Lexington historical site hopes the movie 'Lincoln' will draw in more guests.

The Mary Todd Lincoln House sits on West Main Street in Downtown Lexington. The site is the childhood home of Mary Todd who has a key role in the upcoming film.

The Mary Todd Lincoln House Director, Gwen Thompson, said Sally Field, who is playing Mary Todd, came to the historical site last fall to research her role. She also returned in October of this year to do an interview.

In honor of the film's release Thompson has planned a special event for the community. The museum director is asking people to go see the film, and then meet to talk about it afterwards. For more information you can visit the Mary Todd Lincoln House website http://mtlhouse.org/events.html.
