Lexington Moves Up on Best-Performing Cities List

The city of Lexington moved up 93 spots to number 44 on the Best-Performing Cities Index.

The index, released by The Milken Institute, ranks U.S. metropolitan areas on job creation, sustaining jobs and economic growth.

Lexington had the second-largest increase on this year’s list.  The region was ranked ninth overall in job growth from May 2012-May 2013.

The Louisville-Jefferson County region came in at 58 and Cincinnati was ranked 113.
