A Lexington business was broken into early Monday morning after the suspect pulled the power meter off the back wall, police said.

According to officials, the suspect then broke the glass in the front door of Central KY Motorsports on Palumbo Drive and then went inside the store.

Police said after getting inside, the burglar alarm started blaring and they believe that scared off the would-be burglar.

Police don’t believe anything was taken but said they are waiting for the store owners to complete inventory to make sure.
