As the weather starts to warm up, baseball season gets underway.

Still a little chilly outside for Lexington Legends media day, but things are expected to heat up quickly for the new Kansas City Royals affiliate.

Manager Brian Buchanan introduced the group of 27 players to the media and fans at Whitaker Bank Ballpark this afternoon.

A new stable of faces and names including Bubba Starling, the 5th overall pick in the 2011 MLB draft, will start the season at Augusta this week on Thursday before coming back and opening things up at home next Monday, April 8th.

Home being a loose term for guys who just got to town and are still figuring things out about their new city.

More in the video.
