Lexington Has First Shooting Of 2014

Lexington had its first shooting of 2014, just two hours into the new year.

Police said a man was standing on the corner of 6th Street and Elm Tree Lane when another man came up behind him and shot him.

The victim was hit in the lower back but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police said they pulled a bullet from a nearby home and believe it is connected to the shooting.

They are still searching for the suspect. According to officers, the victim is not being very cooperative in their investigation.
