A Hollywood star is part of a team heading a local musical this weekend.

Steve Zahn, who audiences might know from titles like "Daddy Day Care" and "You've Got Mail", is part of The Rep musical theater.

The Rep is putting on the musical "Bye Bye Birdie" August 3rd, 4th, and 5th at the Lexington Opera House.

The musical, based on the time when Elvis received his draft notice into the Army in 1957, is comprised of local actors and actresses.

Zahn is co-artistic director with his wife, Robyn Peterman-Zhan, as well as a set builder for the musical.
