The Lexington Fire Department hosted a Fire Prevention Festival and Parade today.

Organizers set up booths in the Courthouse Plaza to help education people about preventing fires during the coming cold months.

The festival started in the early afternoon and was followed by a parade.

This was the make-up day for the festivities. It was postponed from earlier this month because of bad weather.

ABC 36 is a proud sponsor of the event.
