The owner of a car dealership in Lexington has been indicted for depositing hundreds of thousands of dollars in an illegal manner to avoid federal reporting requirements, according to federal prosecutors.

Mona Nabil Shalash, 24, owns Auto Select, LLC.

The indictment was returned Thursday charging Shalash for structuring money.

The indictment alleges that in a two-year period, Shalash deposited approximately $410,498.00 in a way that allowed her to avoid federal reporting requirements.

Shalash's appearance before the United States District Court has not yet been set.
