It says it's making the change because of the bad weather.

People are asked to select a child’s angel card and purchase a gift (or gifts) for the needy child.

The Angel Tree program opened November 15th with nearly 6,000 children and was set to close Sunday.

Organizers say the Fayette Mall display still has 164 children left.

Angel cards for those children will be displayed once more on Monday, December 9th at the Christmas Center pm South Broadway and Whitaker Bank in Hamburg.

You can also help by making a monetary donation to the program.

Contributions can be sent to the Salvation Army, 736 W. Main Street, Lexington, KY 40508.

Those who have already selected a card are asked to drop off the card and gifts
Monday or Tuesday at the Salvation Army’s Christmas Center at 1030 South Broadway.

The hours are from 10:00 a.m.– 8:00 p.m.
