Health officials in Letcher County say they have found three active cases of tuberculosis.
They say one of the cases involves a jail inmate and that all of the cases are related.
Jail staff and inmates have all been tested and will be retested in eight weeks.
Two of the patients are no longer considered contagious.
Officials say that the inmate with TB is being treated at an area hospital.
The respiratory disease is spread through sneezing and coughing.
