Lawmakers Give To Tornado Relief

Members of the Kentucky General Assembly have given $5,500 from their pockets, to help with tornado relief. And Speaker Greg Stumbo says that number is still growing.

Both the House and Senate observed moments of silence in honor of storm victims. Representative John Will Stacy of West Liberty thanked rescue teams and first responders for their work. And he thanked TV meteorologists who warned Kentuckians about the bad weather. He says without their warnings, the death toll could have been much higher.
