The meth lab discovered at a room at the Knight's Inn Motel Monday night in Lexington meant a lot of time and money spent for the owner of the property to have it cleaned up.
That can cost the owner anywhere from two to ten thousand dollars.
The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department will be keeping close tabs to make sure the owner does follow suit if they wish to reopen the room but technically does not have to by law.
Since 2008 there have been about a dozen meth labs found in motels and hotels just in central Kentucky.
According to the state a meth lab is reported once a day.
According to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department the Knight's Inn owner is already working towards getting the room cleaned and reported properly.
