The Laurel County sheriff says a man is now accused of robbery, after a man was almost robbed at knifepoint last Friday.

The sheriff says detectives arrested 25-year-old Joshua Dooley of Watkins Branch Road on Tuesday. Last Friday, a man was almost robbed at his home on Highway 3434. That victim says someone pulled a knife on him, and demanded his wallet. His wife called 911, and the would-be robber left.

Detectives say that attempted robbery was very similar to a robbery July 28th on Robinson Road, when someone knocked on the door of a home, shoved the homeowner to the floor, and stole a watch and wallet. Detectives say they think both crimes were committed by the same man.
