Laurel Co. Deputies: Man Arrested After Hitting Pedestrian While Drunk

A man was arrested after deputies said he hit a pedestrian while drunk in Laurel County Saturday.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said Richard Peace, 64, was traveling down KY-1223 near London when he hit a man walking along the shoulder of the road.

Deputies said Peace was drunk at the time and has been charged with DUI and assault.

The victim was flown to UK Hospital, and said to have several fractures.
