Lane Closures Scheduled For Broadway In Lexington

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that temporary lane closures are scheduled for North and South Broadway in Lexington, Fayette County. 

The closures are necessary for signal loop replacement work in preparation for a resurfacing project.

Work will be performed:

  • Wednesday, June 5 from 7:00 p.m. to Thursday, June 6 at 5:00 a.m. - the right lane (southbound) will be closed on North Broadway at Short Street and South Broadway at High Street


  • Thursday, June 6 from 7:00 p.m. to Friday, June 7 at 5:00 a.m. – the right lane (southbound) will be closed on South Broadway at Maxwell Street and at Bolivar Street

All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks the traveling public to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
