Lafayette High football - enlisting a new general to lead the program into 2013. Selecting long-time defensive coordinator Eric Shaw as its head coach yesterday.

Some of you Bengal fans may remember shaw - started 10 games over three seasons with Cincinnati as a linebacker.

Takes over for Carl Hayden, who's taken an administrative position at Carter G. Woodson academy.

Lafayette went 7-4 last season and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Male.
