The Lafayette Marching band is making time for some fun while members prepare for their big performance in the Tournament of the Roses Parade.

On Monday, the group spent the afternoon touring the Santa Monica Pier and Beverly Hills. Band members were even treated to lunch on Hollywood Boulevard. The band is scheduled to practice for a few hours Monday night before a big New Years Eve bash. The group will bring in the New Year a few hours behind Kentuckians because of the time difference.

Viewers can watch the band's performance in the Tournament of the Roses Parade around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday on ABC 36.
