Kroger Marketplace Opens In Georgetown

The grand opening celebration of the new Kroger Marketplace store in Georgetown took place on Friday.

The new store replaces the former Kroger in Washington Square. It offers specialty departments like Furniture, Kitchen Place, Office and School Supplies, Toy Department, Fresh Sushi, a Floral Shop, and a Pharmacy.

Kroger Marketplace has created 160 new jobs, and the new store will employ more than 300 associates. The grand opening festivities at the new Marketplace store will continue for several weeks. November 2nd through Wednesday, November 7th.
