Kids Selling Lemonade For Good Cause

Kids in Lexington were selling Lemonade Saturday to raise money for cancer research.
While we're battling these hot temperatures, some children are trying to make a couple dollars selling lemonade.

On Saturday some kids sold lemonade indoors instead.

It's part of Alex's Lemonade Stand, a foundation started by Alexandra Scott, a 4 year-old cancer patient.

Alex passed away in 2004, but her legacy to sell lemonade in hopes of raising enough money to fight cancer lives on.

Today's lemonade stand was part of the Macy's Partners in Time Volunteer Program.

This September, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is launching the Million Mile Run, where volunteers will collectively walk or run one million miles.

More than 60 million dollars have been raised by the organization since it started in 1996.
