KentuckyOne Health Releases KY Lung Cancer Stats

KentuckyOne Health released some numbers today that might make you want to crush out your cigarette.

According to the report, lung cancer kills more Americans than any other type of cancer, and here in Kentucky, lung cancer kills more people than the next eight most common cancers combined.

Kentucky leads the nation in both lung cancer incidence and lung cancer death.

The big number for smokers is that 85% of all lung cancer deaths can be directly attributed to smoking.

KentuckyOne Health is working to reduce lung cancer in the state, and offers acces to several smoking cessation programs.
