Kentucky State University Campus Now Smoke-Free

The KSU campus in Frankfort went smoke-free on August 1, 2013. The school said the new policy fits its overall health and wellness program.
Kentucky State University in Frankfort went smoke-free on campus on Thursday.

The official policy, which the KSU Board of Regents approved in July reads:

  • Effective August 1, 2013, the use, distribution, carrying of any lighted smoking instrument or device, or sale of tobacco in university buildings, including dormitories and grounds, and at KSU events, as well as in private vehicles parked on university property, is prohibited.
The school said the policy fits into KSU's overall health and wellness program.
