Kentucky State Police say they have received a report of a scam targeting victims through a text message.
The message says that the person's credit or debit card has been deactivated, and gives a telephone number to contact.
Kentucky State Police urge you to remember the following:
*Banks have your account numbers and personal data, and would not ask for it.
*Never give personal information out over the phone unless you have called your bank for specific services that you are requesting.
*Immediately, call or visit your bank to report suspicious activity that concerns you.
