Two members of the Kentucky National Guard are dead after a crash in North Dakota Thursday.

The Kentucky National Guard confirms that two soldiers--Sgt. Ronald Forsyth, 31, and Spc. Jason Burnette, 23, were killed in a car accident in Devil's Lake.

The National Guard said those men were on a two-week training mission.

Our sister station in North Dakota, WDAZ, reports that it happened around midnight.

They say the vehicle hopped a curb and slammed into a tree before rolling onto its side.

WDAZ says the two soldiers were dead by the time police arrived at the scene.

The National Guard says there were two other soldiers in the vehicle at the time--they've been treated and released from an area hospital.

Of the two fallen soldiers, the National Guard says one is from Fort Knox, the other is from Fort Campbell.
