Kentucky singers showcased their talents for the chance to win $1,000 today on UK’s campus.

“University Idol” was held at the Singletary Center for the Arts.

Contestants helped raise funds in the fight for cancer, donating Lexington Cancer Foundation, Inc.

It was hosted by the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and Delta Delta Delta sorority.

After an audition process, eight contestants competed today. Judges narrowed it down to three finalists who then sang The Beatles “Let It Be,” in honor of the Lexington Cancer Foundation.
