Kentucky National Guard Unit Deploying To Africa

565 Lexington-based Kentucky National Guard soldiers will deploy on Tuesday to Africa for 9 months.

At the Frankfort Convention Center, soldiers assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 138th Field Artillery attended deployment ceremony on Friday.

This Guard unit is the most decorated in the state.

The unit has already been to Iraq and Afghanistan.

This next tour is to try help bring stability to the Horn of Africa.

Where is the Oil there that they need Artillery to protect it.Can't they shoot from Lexington to down here in Georgetown for practice.Or is something afoot.We keep pulling on Russia's chain we are going to get more than we bargained for.
