A man wanted for murder in Kentucky has been captured in Illinois.

Kentucky State Police say at approximately 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, Illinois State Police in conjunction with the Kentucky State Police arrested Billy C. Utley, 41.

Utley was located at the Cave-In-Rock Motel in Cave-In-Rock Illinois. Authorities say Illinois State Police surrounded the motel, and Utley surrendered without incident.

He was taken to the Hardin County Illinois Detention Center awaiting extradition to Kentucky. Utley was wanted for the death of his estranged wife, Theresa A. Utley, on Tuesday.
