State Police said Jeffrey L. Riley, 55, of Lexington, was arrested on charges related to the fraudulent use of promotional lottery tickets.

State Police said the arrest stemmed from an internal investigation of 1,800 missing promotional lottery tickets conducted by the Kentucky Lottery Corporation in January of this year.

State Police said the investigation determined that Riley, a regional manager for the Kentucky Lottery Corporation, had redeemed or validated the missing tickets at a Georgetown, Kentucky location on three separate occasions.

Riley was charged with three counts of fraudulent use of a lottery ticket, a Class C felony, according to investigators.

Riley was processed at the Scott County Detention Center and released on his own recognizance, according the KSP.
