Kentucky is one of 43 states to receive federal grant money to cover all or part of the fees charged to low-income students for taking Advanced Placement tests.
Levels of funding were determined on the basis of state estimates of the numbers of tests that would be taken by low-income students.
Kentucky will receive $394,457, which will go to the state's Department of Education.
The total amount of grant money for the 43 states was $21.5 million.
