The Kentucky Blood Center in Lexington needs a specific type of blood.

On Thursday, a spokeswoman for the Center said they need negative blood types, "O" negative especially, since it's the universal donor type that can be used by anyone.

"O" negative is the main blood type needed, but "A" negative and "B" negative are also needed.
