Kentuckians Sending Help To Oklahoma

Two volunteers are being sent to Oklahoma in an emergency response vehicle from the Bluegrass Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Volunteers from 20 states came to Kentucky through the Red Cross after tornadoes hit the Commonwealth on March 2, 2012. Now Kentuckians are returning the favor.

The Bluegrass Chapter of the American Red Cross is sending an emergency response vehicle to Oklahoma. Two volunteers will drive the truck there and spend up to two weeks helping the relief effort.

Ramona Hibbard of Manchester and Russ Hoff of Lexington will spend most of Tuesday driving to Oklahoma. They are still waiting to hear which city they will help in.

The truck left Lexington nearly empty, but will pick up supplies in a Red Cross warehouse before arriving.
