Kentuckians Celebrate Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year starts on February 2nd.

The Kentucky Chinese American Association (KYCAA) hosted their annual new year celebration at the Opera House on Saturday.

KYCAA is a non-profit and non-political organization that promotes the appreciation of Chinese culture and heritages.

Tonight there was a stage performances and a holiday market with the event.

Organizers said it’s become a tradition for people in Lexington and Kentucky who come from all cultural backgrounds.
