Keeneland Sees Early Jump in Sales With 2012 Auction Season

The 2012 auction season at Lexington's famed Keeneland racetrack is already seeing a boost in sales.

Numbers from its first 2 days alone surpassed the January 2011 total horse sales' gross by 19%.

Keeneland opened the 2012 auction season on Monday with its 'Horses of All Ages Sale.'

Between Monday and Tuesday, Keeneland saw sales of 487 horses for a total of more than $30 million.
