KYTC District 7 Crews Will Continue Treating Roadways

Crews will continue to treat affected areas until the threat of inclement weather subsides

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) road crews in Lexington and the surrounding counties in Central Kentucky are continuing to patrol and spot-treat roadways as necessary.  Crews will continue to treat affected areas until the threat of inclement weather subsides.

District 7 forces and contractors reported during the early morning hours to begin snow and ice activity. Contractors supplement the highway maintenance crews to ensure that roads are in the best possible condition. 

Each facility in all 12 counties is equipped with salt.  The facilities are also stocked with calcium chloride and salt brine.  Equipment has been maintained in appropriate working order by the District 7 Equipment employees.

District 7 crews have the responsibility for treating roads in Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
