A Kentucky town has formally endorsed legalized hemp.
The West Kentucky Journal says the City Council in Clinton in Hickman County voted six to nothing to back industrial hemp.
The town sent letters to federal and state officials voicing support for hemp, as a cash crop in Kentucky.
The Council voted yes, after studying information about hemp from the University of Kentucky.
