In Kentucky business news, state tax revenue was up in February.

The growth was faster than expected.

Budget Director Mary Lassiter says revenue was up 3.8% or about $21 million.

She says most of that was because of sales taxes.

Lassiter suspects a lot of people who received gift cards for Christmas. used them in February.
