KY 72 In Harlan County To Be Reduced To One Lane

KY 72 in Harlan County will be down to one lane daily from February 18-20, 2013, for installation of new guard rails.
KY 72 in Harlan County will be reduced to one lane between mile markers 7.7 (near Mary Alice) and 10.9 (near Pope Hill) on a daily basis between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. beginning Monday, February 18 and concluding on Wednesday, February 20.

Traffic control will be maintained by flaggers. The lane closure is necessary to allow crews to install new guard rails.

All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
