KentuckyUtilities said 71,000 of its KU & LG&E customers lost power during lastweek’s ice storm.
They said notall of those customers were out at the same time.
They said 8,000 ofthose customers were in Fayette County and the outageswere fixed by Thursday.
KU said 5,300customers lost power Saturday morning in Fayette Countybecause of a transmission line outage.
KU said that wasdue to an equipment malfunction and not because of the cold.
According to theKU outage map, all power has been restored.
