KSP Troopers Make Drug Arrest in Madison County

(Richmond, KY)--On Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:18 pm EST troopers assigned to the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post stopped a gold 2004 GMC SUV for traffic violations on Water Street.  Further investigation revealed the presence of suspected marijuana.  A search warrant was obtained on the residence of the operator, David Beverly.  Additional drugs and drug paraphernalia was seized at the residence.

David Beverly, 26 years old of Richmond, KY was arrested and charged with several vehicle related traffic offenses and Trafficking in Marijuana, Trafficking a Controlled Substance within 1000 yards of a School, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Cultivating Marijuana 5 Plants or more.

Sergeant Harvey Baxter is the investigating officer and was assisted at the scene by other KSP personnel.
