KSP: Serious Injuries in Car vs. Log Truck Accident

A crash involving a car and a log truck on KY-70 in Rockcastle County sent two people to UK Hospital with serious injuries, according to State Police.

Just after noon on Wednesday, they arrived at the accident and discovered that 21-year-old Andrea Coots had reportedly pulled her car out in front of the truck.

Coots and her 20-year-old passenger, William Pollard, were flown to UK Hospital.

Troopers said they do not believe that drugs or alcohol are suspected in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
