KSP Making Sure Drivers 'Never Miss A Game'

Kentucky State Police handed out free Kentucky blue and Louisville red shirts to drivers who were buckled up Friday morning.
Kentucky State Police spent Friday morning passing out free Kentucky blue and Louisville red shirts on Friday to drivers who were buckled up.

Hundreds of drivers lined the Target parking lot in the Hamburg shopping area Friday morning to get their free shirt.

Some waited more than two hours.

State police went car to car to check for seat belts, they also asked drivers to sign a commitment form pledging they'll remain buckled up when driving.

KSP normally conducts their 'Click it or Ticket' campaign this time of year, but decided with the big game they'd give Kentucky drivers a little extra incentive to buckle up.

Police say they made about 200 blue Kentucky shirts and 200 red Louisville shirts for the event. They say the blue shirts were gone within minutes here in Lexington.
