KSP Investigating Fatal Madison County Crash

State Police are looking into a fatal accident that happened in Madison County late Wednesday morning.

Officers tell us that 70-year-old Barbara Carter was driving east on Dreyfus Road at around 11am when her pickup truck went off of the roadway.

They said her truck overturned, causing her to be ejected.

The Madison County Coroner pronounced her dead at the scene.

Troopers said Carter was the only person in the truck and did not appear to be wearing her seatbelt during the crash.
