Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting involving an officer in Graves County that left one man dead.

KSP says one of their troopers was called to a home on beech Grove Road in the Farmington area around 4pm Saturday, after a fight had broken out where shots had been fired.

Investigators say the trooper approached 49-year old Ted Newsome, of Farmington who raised his gun at the trooper.

Police say the trooper fired at Newsome, fatally shooting him in the arm.

KSP says the investigation is still on-going.
