The Kentucky Blood Center is asking for the public's help to bring up their supply level.

Officials at KBC say the extreme winter weather has caused them to cancel blood drives, and that turnout at donation centers has dropped considerably.

The lack of donations is causing a strain on the blood supply, and KBC is urging the public to come in and donate.

This week, anyone who donates will be placed in a drawing for a $200 dollar VISA gift card.

For phone numbers, hours, and addresses of KBC donation centers, call 1-800-775-2522, or click here: kybloodcenter.org.
