The UK men's basketball team held its annual Blue vs. White scrimmage tonight.

And while the final score didn't matter much, as the Cats were sure to win...and lose, the play of a bunch of new freshmen...and transfers, certainly did.

Senior transfer guard Julius Mays is the oldest player on the team.  Lexington is his third stop in as many years.  He started at NC State, where fellow Cat Ryan Harrow also made his debut.  Then it was on to Wright State.

Now, Mays is the veteran at Kentucky, where he acts as the big brother, and mirror for freshman point man Archie Goodwin.

Cal said Goodwin took too many shots in the annual scrimmage game, 22, and passed up teammates way too often to take shots.

That can't happen at UK.  It's not how Cal structures his team of all-stars.

Mays, Goodwin's best-friend on the team, acts as little bro's brother.

Check out the video to hear from Cal on Goodwin's game and the two guards on how they are getting through the early season together.
